We help make sure your visit to California State Parks in the Sierra District is the best it can be. SSPF funds enable park staff to educate, interpret (explain the ecosystem and history), restore and preserve our precious parks. SSPF funding means you can stroll through Vikingsholm; take a history hike at Donner Memorial State Park; tour the lakeside Pine Lodge; and ski the 1960 Olympic Biathlon trail at Sugar Pine Point. SSPF also funds activities at Tahoe State Recreation Area, D.L. Bliss State Park, Emerald Bay State Park, . Our help is especially critical in these times of state budget cuts.
Please join us and share in the commitment to the park experience we've all come to expect in our Golden State, with worthwhile
- Educational programs, from nature hikes to historic tours and school outings
- Interpretive experiences, from Junior Rangers to exciting exhibits and events
- Restoration, from stabilizing buildings to acquiring historic artifacts
- Preservation of our irreplaceable cultural and natural resources for future generations

It's expensive to provide fun educational programs such as hikes, talks and tours; preserve historic sites, and maintain enough staffing to keep parks safe places for us all to enjoy. We depend upon our members, private donations, tour fees, merchandise sales, special events, and grants from a variety of sources to support these park efforts that make it more fun to visit.
