Join an inspiring afternoon of poetry, music, and community at the beautiful William B. Layton State Park in Tahoe City (outside at the Gatekeeper’s Museum) as part of the Poetry in Parks on Aug. 22 from 3-5 p.m., hosted by Scott Green. The event is free and open to everyone. Live music by Winter Grain will start at 2:45 pm, with readings following at 3:15-5 pm. Art from Sara Smith Fine Art will also be on display!
Poetry in Parks is part of a statewide spoken word event series that began in 2015 as a successful pilot program for Arts in California Parks, bringing poetry, storytelling, and community together in California’s state parks.
Whether you’re a longtime poetry lover or simply looking to enjoy an afternoon immersed in the arts, Poetry in Parks offers a unique opportunity to experience literature and live performance in one of California’s most beautiful state parks.
