Join Us for Movies on the Beach: Bears of Durango!
Nothing says summer like a free movie night with your feet in the sand, stars in the sky. This month, grab your beach chairs and blankets and join us at Kings Beach State Recreation Area for a special screening of the fascinating and highly relevant documentary, Bears of Durango.
Why You Should Attend
Living in the beautiful Lake Tahoe basin means sharing our home with magnificent black bears. But as our community grows, so do human-bear interactions.
The award-winning documentary, Bears of Durango, follows an adventurous team of wildlife researchers who spent six years studying how human development and trash habits affect bear behavior. Because Durango, Colorado, faces the same urban bear challenges we do right here in Tahoe, this eye-opening film gives us a front-row seat to practical ways we can coexist better and protect our local wildlife.
