Partners' Event: Free Snowshoe Tours

This is an educational program led by State Park Interpreters, sponsored by the Sierra State Parks Foundation.

We have snowshoes for participants to use FREE OF CHARGE!
Drop-ins are also welcome!

Tours:  Saturdays at 11am and 1pm
Tours are 120-minutes (2 miles) with short educational stops along the way. We will discuss flora and fauna, watershed health, and the 1960 Winter Olympics, of which Sugar Pine Point was the venue for all cross-country events.  We will provide a 24-hour cancellation notice if unsafe weather conditions persist.


Directions: Snowshoe Tours depart from the Sugar Pine Point Campground Day Use parking lot. Take the first left after the kiosk and follow the signs to the winter trailhead.
